The first memory connected to the band, is from the year 1990, when singer - guitarist Sami Arojoki´s friend gave him "End of The Road" - video and said you might like this. He lost his mind immediately, it was so good! First song of the video was "Caroline" which was familiar from gigs of a band called Kari Peitsamon Skootteri. Next song was "Roll Over Lay Down" and then we knew : This is it! A Rock´n´Roll band which isn´t moaning about something, just playing brilliant heavy rock music with beautiful vocalharmonies which are totally opposite to the heavy rhythm! Immediately Arojoki called to the nearest record store and asked if they had any Quo - videos. They had five and he bought five, the Quo - fever was now full - blown and there was nothing anyone could do, it was time to boogie! Arojoki started to play Quo - songs with his band.

The actual Status Quo Tribute - band started in the beginning of 90´s, when at the same time at a local practice plase where Arojoki, Toni "Löysä" Lehtonen and Jan Kolkka. In different stages of the band there were also Lovegun Tuominen and singer´s brother Tomppa, but they didn´t really understand (or care) what Quo was about. Playing the chord A for a minute wasn´t as enlightening for them as it was to the others!

But drummer Tony and bass player Jan understood it completely : tight and heavy rhythm was everything, when you played Quo - songs!

When you get the rhythm working, you can play anything on the top of it! The guys started practising really hard and they started to have more and more gigs. In the year 2000 they recorded an EP, which has been hoorayed by Quo - fans in Finland and even in Great Britain and Australia. The years of heavy practicing and Quoing haven´t been a waste of time! At the EP is also Love gun Tuominen, who we want to thank, it was great! The EP was recorded mainly for promo use and it´s not released officially.

Everything is going great for the band and it looks like the best line up for the band is now together after years of hard work.

In the 21st century the band have been getting more busy all the time. When the band had such a good luck that the great sound engineer Hannu Yli - Tuomola started to work with them, things were finally working out. It´s also thanks to Hannu, that the band can travel, because Hannu owns their tourbus. Status Quo Tribute is nowadays a really hard working gigband, for which the audience is the most important thing at gigs.

Now when they got a new guy to take care of selling gigs, Marko Mäkilä (form Aura, bands hometown!), everything is ready for the road, see you out there, Let´s Rock!
